Rising Twitch Star Surpasses Amouranth as Top Female Creator - Who's the New Queen of Streaming?

Streaming sensation and business mogul Kaitlyn ‘Amouranth’ Siragusa has long reigned supreme in the world of streaming. However, a new challenger has emerged to claim the title of the most-watched female content creator on Twitch, shaking up the industry.

In 2022, Amouranth held the crown as Twitch’s most-watched female creator, but her trajectory shifted in 2023 when she inked a lucrative deal with the emerging streaming platform Kick. This move set the stage for a new era in streaming.

Despite her initial setback, Amouranth bounced back in 2024, starting the year as the top female streamer across all platforms, excluding VTubers. Her dominance seemed unshakeable until the second quarter of the year brought a surprising turn of events.

Recent stat reports from Stream Hatchet and Streams Charts revealed that Amouranth experienced a significant 24% drop in viewing hours from April to June 2024, despite increasing her streaming hours. This decline marked a pivotal moment in the streaming landscape.

Amouranth still managed to secure 4.12 million hours watched, narrowly edging out IRL creator Jinny with 3.85 million hours and Valkyrae, the YouTuber and 100 Thieves co-owner, with 3.77 million hours watched.

However, the standout performer of Q2 2024 was Twitch streamer Mira, whose viewership surged by an impressive 28%, garnering 5.10 million hours of content consumption. Mira, known for her IRL and Just Chatting content, boasts a substantial following on Twitch and Instagram.

When considering VTubers, four creators currently surpass Mira in viewership. Japanese Vtuber Pekora leads the pack with 9.6 million hours watched, followed by Miko, ironmouse, and Koyori. The rise of VTubers has added a new dimension to the streaming landscape, reshaping the hierarchy of content creators.

While reclaiming her throne may pose a challenge for Amouranth, the seasoned creator has made significant strides in her career that set her apart from the competition. In 2024, she announced her co-ownership of esports organization Wildcard Gaming and diversified her revenue streams with ventures like adult content and her own beer brand.
