Ryan Reynolds Reveals the Heartbreaking Origin of Deadpool & Wolverine's Madonna Moment

Ever since the second trailer of Deadpool & Wolverine was released, it has been associated with Madonna's 1989 single "Like a Prayer." The song has been featured in promotional material for the film and plays a significant role in key moments of the movie. Ryan Reynolds and director Shawn Levy made it a priority to obtain Madonna's approval to use her hit as the unofficial theme for the Merc With a Mouth's third adventure. Reynolds revealed the importance of the song and shared a heartbreaking scene involving Colossus that was originally planned for Deadpool 3.
