Skai Jackson, the former "Jessie" star, made a surprising return to TikTok Live after her recent run-in with the law, but fans were left puzzled by her evasive responses regarding her legal troubles.
During her TikTok Live session on Wednesday, fans bombarded the 22-year-old actress with questions about her August 9 arrest and citation for misdemeanor battery.
One user boldly asked, "Girl, what's the deal with you and jail?" However, instead of addressing the pressing inquiries about her time behind bars, Jackson skillfully diverted the conversation towards an upcoming project she recently wrapped up filming.
"I've just finished filming a TV show, but I can't spill the beans on it yet," she coyly shared during the live session.
Despite her attempts to steer clear of the topic, some social media users weren't convinced. One user called her out for seemingly cherry-picking questions to avoid addressing the elephant in the room, while another pointed out her selective responses.
Aside from her TikTok Live appearance, Jackson also took to Instagram on the same day, sharing a casual car selfie and directing followers to her Snapchat profile.
According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Jackson found herself in hot water after a heated altercation with her boyfriend at Universal CityWalk in Hollywood, California.
Security personnel intervened when they witnessed the "Bunk'd" actress pushing her boyfriend multiple times, prompting them to alert the authorities.
After reviewing footage of the incident, the police escorted Jackson off the premises and released her several hours later.
Despite the visible altercation captured on camera, both Jackson and her boyfriend denied any physical altercation had occurred during the incident.
The LA County District Attorney's office is currently reviewing the case to determine if any charges will be filed against the actress.
