Prince William’s Pal Slams Prince Harry as ‘Thick’ and a ‘Broken Record’
The tension between Prince William and Prince Harry shows no signs of easing up anytime soon. Recent reports suggest Harry’s interest in resuming some royal duties in the UK, but a source close to William has fired back, branding the California-based royal as “very thick” in a scathing interview.
“Harry is like a broken record at this point,” William’s friend told the Daily Beast. “We all know he’s itching for a part-time royal role, but Queen Elizabeth made it crystal clear he couldn’t have one foot in and one foot out. Nothing has changed.”
Continuing the verbal assault, the pal added, “Anyone pushing these absurd theories on Harry’s behalf is either clueless or pretending not to understand that he’s not welcome. They’re either dense or playing dumb.”
The latest jab comes in response to a Mirror newspaper report suggesting that Harry, 39, would consider a temporary role within the royal family to ‘assist’ if asked by his father, King Charles III. However, the alleged offer comes with a condition – an apology from William.
The estranged brothers had a brief encounter last month at the funeral of their uncle Lord Robert Fellowes in Norfolk. Arriving discreetly, they maintained distance without exchanging words. Prior to this, their last public appearance together was in September 2022 following Queen Elizabeth II’s passing.
Prince Harry first aired grievances against the royal family in his and Meghan Markle’s explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2021, where they made shocking revelations fueling rift rumors. In his 2023 memoir, “Spare,” Harry delved into his strained relationship with William, alleging jealousy and physical altercations over Markle.
Reports suggest William doesn’t want Harry present at his coronation, branding him ‘disloyal.’ The Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped back from royal duties in 2020 and now reside in Montecito, California, with their children – Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
