Director Joseph Kahn's Ick is a satirical horror comedy that premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival. The film follows a strange vine-like growth, known as the "Ick," invading a town, with only science teacher Hank Wallace (Brandon Routh) and his student Grace (Malina Weissman) taking notice. As chaos ensues, the cast, including Harrison Cone, Taia Sophia, Zeke Donovan Jones, Debra Wilson, Mena Suvari, and Jeff Fahey, delve into the dark humor of living in a state of perpetual emergency. At TIFF 2024, Kahn and the cast discussed the film's appeal and the challenges they faced, such as securing killer soundtracks and Routh's physically demanding scenes. Routh also provides an update on the Magic The Gathering series.
