In a world facing imminent destruction from climate change, The Assessment presents a new approach to prevent overpopulation. In a dystopian future where reproduction is controlled by the government, Mia and Aaryan must undergo an assessment to determine their suitability to have a child. With assessor Virginia overseeing them, the couple has seven days to prove their worthiness. However, as the evaluation progresses, it takes a dark and unsettling turn. Premiering at the Toronto International Film Festival 2024, the film is directed by Fleur Fortuné and stars Elizabeth Olsen, Himesh Patel, and Alicia Vikander.
