Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck's $68M Mansion Sale Hits a Snag Amid Divorce Drama
Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck, the Hollywood power couple, are facing a hiccup in the sale of their luxurious $68 million marital mansion. Despite receiving and accepting a $64 million offer for their home, the potential buyers from New Jersey have backed out of the deal due to a recent family tragedy, as reported by TMZ.
While the mystery couple remains interested in purchasing the property, the setback has put a temporary halt to the sale. The mansion, originally bought for $60.8 million in 2023, has been a focal point of the couple's divorce proceedings.
Listing their Beverly Hills, Calif., mansion for sale at $68 million in July, Lopez and Affleck aimed to part ways with the property discreetly. However, the sale process has been far from smooth sailing.
The sprawling five-acre estate boasts a separate 5,000-square-foot guest penthouse, a caretaker house, a two-bedroom guardhouse, a spacious 12-car garage, and parking for up to 80 vehicles. Additionally, the property features a fully equipped gym, a boxing ring, a sports lounge, a bar, and basketball and pickleball courts for at-home recreation.
According to a source close to the couple, the mansion was primarily Ben's choice, representing a significant compromise for Lopez. The "Atlas" star, known for her preference for a romantic, Spanish, European vibe, found the modern aesthetic of the house less appealing.
Following their separation, Affleck moved out of the marital home and rented a property in Brentwood, Calif., to remain close to his children. In a separate real estate move, he acquired a $20.5 million mansion in Pacific Palisades in July. Meanwhile, Lopez has been on the hunt for her next residence, recently exploring a $22 million bachelorette pad in Beverly Hills.
As the saga of their mansion sale continues, fans and real estate enthusiasts eagerly await the next chapter in the evolving story of Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck's high-profile divorce and property dealings.
