Chunkz Speaks Out on Yung Filly's Arrest Amid Sexual Assault Allegations
Chunkz, the best friend of Yung Filly, has broken his silence regarding the influencer's recent scandal. In a heartfelt video shared on social media, Chunkz directly addressed the camera, stating, “Yes, everyone. Like many of you, I've been following the reports emerging from Australia. While I know there's curiosity about my stance on this, given that it's an active legal case, I hope you can understand that I am unable to publicly comment on it."
Chunkz continued, “So, I wanted to come on here and clarify why I'm unable to discuss this further. Love.”
Following Chunkz's statement, fans on X/Twitter rallied in support of Chunkz's decision to refrain from commenting, with one individual expressing, “Legally, he can't, bro. Even if he wanted to, he'd face legal repercussions.” Another supporter added, “There's really nothing he can say publicly about the case.”
Several others echoed similar sentiments, with one viewer acknowledging, “That's a valid point, hard to argue against that,” while another highlighted, “It's crucial to recognize that this matter is still under investigation and cannot be openly discussed.”
Amidst the online discussions, a third person emphasized, “Let's be realistic. Regardless of what he knows, people will find fault in his words.” Many chimed in, questioning the entitlement some feel to demand immediate responses, urging patience for the legal process to unfold.
One X/Twitter user concluded, “He doesn't deserve the unwarranted backlash for choosing not to speak out. The cancel culture surrounding celebrities is overwhelming.” Chunkz, whose real name is Amin Mohamed, is a prominent British YouTuber and a member of the Beta Squad.
Chunkz is widely recognized for his YouTube channel, where he frequently collaborates with his close friend and fellow YouTuber, Yung Filly, whose real name is Andrés Felipe Valencia Barrientos. Yung Filly was apprehended and detained in Brisbane, Australia, on 8 September, before being transferred to Perth the following day.
Authorities from the Western Australia Police's sexual assault squad have levied serious charges against the influencer, including four counts of sexual penetration without consent. Barrientos also faces accusations of three counts of assault and one count of obstructing a person's normal breathing or circulation by applying pressure to their neck.
