Liam Payne's Unfinished Netflix Project with Nicole Scherzinger Revealed

Oct 22 2024

Liam Payne, the beloved One Direction star, was in the midst of an exciting project just weeks before his untimely passing. Reports reveal that he was collaborating on a Netflix series aimed at discovering "the next great pop group." Tragically, Liam met his demise after falling from a third-floor balcony in Argentina on 16 October.

During his stay at the Hotel Casa Sur, Liam, aged 31, was pronounced dead. Despite rumors suggesting a pause in Payne's second solo album production, the former X Factor sensation was actively involved in a show with the streaming giant Netflix.

It was announced that Liam would be part of the judging panel for a show called "Build The Band," where the goal was to create a sensational pop group without seeing the contestants beforehand. The show was set to feature Nicole Scherzinger from the Pussycat Dolls, Kelly Rowland from Destiny's Child, and AJ McLean from the Backstreet Boys as the host.

Netflix described "Build The Band" as a show that aimed to revolutionize the music industry by removing in-person auditions. Contestants would form bands based on compatibility, connection, and talent rather than physical appearances. The series promised drama, exceptional artistry, and unforgettable performances.

Reports indicate that filming for "Build The Band" commenced during the summer. Liam and his co-stars were spotted in Manchester in August, just a couple of months before his tragic accident in Argentina.

Following Liam's passing, there have been no updates on the show's production, leaving fans uncertain about its future. The entertainment industry was shaken by the news of his death, prompting fellow One Direction member Louis Tomlinson to reflect on their shared aspirations for future projects.
