Man Discovers Kidnapped Babies in Ditch Outside His Home While Getting Mail: A True Good Samaritan

An Indiana man, Robert Deane, is being celebrated as a hero after discovering two kidnapped babies in a ditch outside his home following a car theft incident. The heartwarming story unfolded on Monday, Dec. 2, when Deane went to collect a package from his residence in southeast Indianapolis and stumbled upon a sight that would change the course of the day.

As Deane approached his home, he noticed two baby car seats abandoned in a ditch nearby. Upon closer inspection, he found two baby girls snugly seated inside the car seats. These infants had been taken during a car theft earlier that same day, making the situation all the more urgent and critical.

Speaking to USA Today, Deane expressed his unwavering commitment to helping those in need, stating, "I'd do it again. If you see something, like a baby in a ditch, say something (and) do something." His quick thinking and compassionate actions played a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and well-being of the kidnapped babies.

Although the duration the babies spent outside remains unknown, reports indicated that the weather that day had plummeted to as low as 27 degrees. Efforts to locate the vehicle, identified by plate number 364CMU, were intensified as authorities worked diligently to track down the perpetrator responsible for the abduction.
