Tracy Morgan is on the mend after a concerning health scare during the New York Knicks vs. Miami Heat game. The beloved comedian, 56, took to social media from his hospital bed to reassure fans that he’s “doing OK” following a bout of food poisoning.

“Thank you for all your concern! I’m doing OK now and doctors say it was food poisoning,” Morgan wrote on Tuesday, just a day after he was seen vomiting courtside at Madison Square Garden in New York City. His lighthearted spirit shone through as he expressed gratitude to the staff at Madison Square Garden, saying, “Appreciate my MSG family for taking such good care of me and I need to shout out the crew that had to clean that up. Appreciate you!”

In a humorous twist, he added, “More importantly, the Knicks are now 1-0 when I throw up on the court so maybe I’ll have to break it out again in the playoffs 😅 #goknicks.”

The incident unfolded shortly after the third quarter began, when Morgan was seen wiping his face with a towel while being wheeled out of the arena in a wheelchair. Eyewitnesses reported that the “30 Rock” star appeared to be in distress, with one social media user claiming he was “bleeding from [his] nose” and “could barely stand up.” Videos circulating on X showed Morgan’s friends rushing to his side to ensure he was alright.

Unfortunately, the actor’s medical emergency caused a delay in the game for about 10 minutes as the court was cleaned up after his incident. A spokesperson for Madison Square Garden expressed their well-wishes, stating, “We hope Tracy feels better soon and look forward to seeing him back courtside.”

Knicks shooting guard Josh Hart also sent his support, saying, “We hope everything is good with Tracy Morgan, avid lifetime Knicks fan, so prayers go out to him and his health and safety,” after the team’s 116-95 victory against the Heat.

While Morgan’s recent health scare was alarming, it’s not the first time he has faced significant health challenges. The Bronx native has battled diabetes, previously taking the type 2 diabetes medication Ozempic to aid in weight loss, which he noted cut his appetite “in half.”

Additionally, Morgan underwent a kidney transplant in 2010 and suffered severe injuries in a car crash that left him in a coma for eight days in 2014. Despite these challenges, he continues to maintain a positive outlook and a strong connection with his fans.
