Florida man confuses gas pedal for brakes, crashes into Tampa apartment building

TAMPA, Fla. - An elderly man accidentally slammed his SUV into an apartment building on Tuesday morning after mistaking the gas pedal for the brakes. Hillsborough County deputies reported the incident occurred shortly after 7 a.m. at The Oaks of Woodland Park Apartments, located off W. Waters Ave., just west of Manhattan Ave.

The driver, who resides in the very building he crashed into, fortunately did not face any charges following the mishap. Thankfully, no injuries were reported, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.
