Former Diddy's Assistant Claims He Bought $4K Worth of Drugs for Him Every 2 Months

Jun 20 2025

Brendan Paul, who served as an assistant to Sean “Diddy” Combs from late 2022 until March 2024, took the stand in a high-profile trial on June 20, detailing his role in procuring drugs for the music mogul. His testimony revealed that he was tasked with purchasing significant quantities of various substances, including marijuana, cocaine, pink cocaine, ecstasy, and ketamine.

Paul claimed that while he “rarely” witnessed Diddy, now 55, using drugs, he regularly bought marijuana for him—approximately $4,200 worth every two months. This revelation adds a layer of complexity to the charges Diddy faces, which include sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy. He has pleaded not guilty to all allegations.

During his testimony, Paul recounted an incident where he was asked to sample drugs for Diddy. At a Coachella afterparty, he took 2C to assess its quality, stating, “I said yes and then I kept working.” This admission raises questions about the environment in which he worked and the expectations placed upon him.

Paul’s employment with Diddy ended abruptly in March 2024 when he was arrested at a Miami airport for cocaine possession. He claimed he discovered the cocaine in Diddy’s hotel room prior to a family trip to the Bahamas but forgot to remove it from his bag. Under cross-examination, Paul clarified that neither Diddy nor his team instructed him to carry the cocaine.

Although the charges against Paul were eventually dropped, he has not communicated with Diddy since his arrest. He cited “loyalty” as the reason for not disclosing the source of the cocaine to authorities.

Initially, Paul assisted Diddy with diet and workout plans, leveraging his background as a former college basketball player at Syracuse University. However, he described a grueling work environment where he often went days without sleep and faced termination for minor infractions only to be rehired shortly after. To cope with the demands, he admitted to using prescription Adderall and occasionally cocaine.

At one point during his employment, Paul recalled Diddy expressing a desire for his team to operate with the precision of “Seal Team Six,” the elite U.S. Navy unit known for high-stakes missions. Another former assistant had warned him about the job's intensity: “Get in to get out. If you have a girlfriend, break up with her. And you’ll never see your family.”

When asked how he feels about Diddy now, Paul’s response was succinct: “It’s complicated.”

Diddy’s trial commenced in May and is projected to extend into early July. Following his arrest last year, Diddy’s attorney expressed disappointment over what they perceive as an unjust prosecution. “He is an imperfect person, but he is not a criminal,” said Marc Agnifilo. He emphasized Diddy’s cooperation with the investigation and urged the public to reserve judgment until all facts are presented.

Currently, Diddy remains at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, with four bail requests denied by Judge Arun Subramanian.
