Tom Hardy Says the Dark Side Drew Him to ‘Venom’ | Full Interview | Rotten Tomatoes

‘Venom’ co-stars Tom Hardy and Riz Ahmed sat down with Rotten Tomatoes, and the conversation quickly turned questions of evil: on one hand, the “Jekyll and Hyde aspect” of the title character, which is what Hardy says drew him to the role; on the other, the motivations of Dr. Carlton Drake, the ‘Venom’ villain played by Ahmed. The two actors also revealed details about working together on set, while 'Veep' star Reid Scott, who plays Dr. Dan Lewis in the film, compared the head-chomping symbiote to his on-screen sparring partner at HBO, former Vice President Selina Meyer.
