Drea de Matteo, 51, Defends OnlyFans: Why Not Get Paid for Underwear?
Drea de Matteo is speaking out against those who have made negative comments about her decision to join OnlyFans. The 51-year-old actress, known for her role as Adriana La Cerva in "The Sopranos," defended her choice and called herself a warrior who refuses to accept defeat. In an interview with Fox News Digital, de Matteo explained that she saw other people on social media being sexy and getting paid for it, so she decided to do the same. She admitted that she should have thought of this idea sooner. On her OnlyFans page, which costs $15 per month, de Matteo proudly displays "THE SOPRANOS" beneath a photo of her cleavage in a star-spangled bikini top.

According to her profile photo, the Emmy-winning actress is seen nude, wearing thigh-high heeled boots and smoking a cigarette by a bed.
The actress, who is a lifelong New Yorker, experienced a devastating incident in 2015 when her East Village home was destroyed in a freak explosion. She has two children, Waylon (12) and Alabama (15), with country musician Shooter Jennings (44). In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, she decided to join OnlyFans in order to support her kids financially.
She expressed her surprise at how much things have changed in the past three years. She never would have believed that she could work from home for her entire career. She acknowledges that this may sound crazy or lazy, but she strongly supports stay-at-home moms and women who prioritize raising their children. She has managed to balance it all and has done it all.
However, at 51 years old, she did not anticipate having to make such a significant career change during a time when she should be able to relax a bit. She feels compelled to switch careers and figure things out because her own industry sees her as a savage.

De Matteo made headlines recently for her controversial stance against vaccine mandates, which she believes cost her work opportunities. She expressed her frustration, stating that she doesn't want to be at the mercy of mandates or strikes again. She mentioned that she used to have a lot of money, but suddenly went from being allowed to work to never being allowed to work again. De Matteo emphasized that she took jobs solely to support her family, not just to stay in the business.
De Matteo gained fame in 1999 for her role as Adriana, the girlfriend of Tony Soprano's protege, Christopher Moltisanti, in "The Sopranos." She received an Emmy for her performance in 2004. She later played Jax Teller's troubled drug-addicted ex-wife in "Sons of Anarchy" and appeared on shows like "Desperate Housewives" and the "Friends" spinoff, "Joey."

According to De Matteo, her family fully supports her decision to transition into posting explicit photos online. She even mentioned that her daughter is willing to assist her in editing these photos. Despite facing criticism, De Matteo remains unfazed and prioritizes her family's well-being over public opinion.

When people criticize my actions and question why I made certain choices, I simply respond with confidence, "Absolutely, I sincerely hope that you never find yourself in the same difficult situation that I am in. I am responsible for supporting my entire family and numerous other individuals who rely on me."
The Post contacted De Matteo for a statement, but there is no response as of yet.
