The Chiefs-Vikings game has taken place without Taylor Swift.
It seems that the 34-year-old pop megastar decided not to attend rumored boyfriend Travis Kelce's Week 5 matchup in Minnesota.
CBS Sports' Jim Nantz mentioned on the broadcast, "Seven words I never thought I would say in my career: Taylor Swift is not at the game. She was uncertain all week, but it seems she is officially inactive."
Swift has been seen supporting the 34-year-old Chiefs tight end at NFL games for the past two weeks.
In late September, she caused a stir on the internet when she showed her support for Kansas City from a suite at Arrowhead Stadium, accompanied by Kelce's mom, Donna.
After the game, the "All Too Well" singer hung out with Kelce, 34, and joined a postgame celebration at a popular Kansas City establishment, surrounded by the tight end's family and friends.
The Chiefs' "Sunday Night Football" game against the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey was attended by Swift and a group of her A-List friends, including Sophie Turner, Blake Lively, and her husband, Ryan Reynolds. Joining Swift in the suite was Brittany Mahomes, the wife of Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, as they witnessed the Chiefs' 23-20 triumph. Prior to Sunday, there had been speculation about Swift's next move.
Earlier this week, Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey extended an invitation to the 12-time Grammy winner, Taylor Swift, urging her to attend the Vikings game. In an interview with TMZ, Frey stated, "If Taylor chooses to come back to Minneapolis, sometimes known as Swiftieapolis, this weekend, we'll be Ready For It," making a playful reference to her 2017 song "...Ready For It?". He also added, "It's possible she will have to console Travis Kelce after the Vikings beat the Chiefs, but there are plenty of great spots across town for them to go on a date and lift their spirits!"
Swift's blockbuster "Eras Tour" made a stop at U.S. Bank Stadium in June, and she is set to embark on another leg of the tour in November, this time in South America. The rumors of Swift's romantic involvement with Kelce first surfaced in September.
