A concert can quickly go from being a fun, safe environment to a dangerous one. A medical emergency, fight, panic among the crowd, or some other change can alter the whole feel of a concert within an instant. And there are numerous examples of those instantaneous shifts leading to real tragedies.
Sometimes, though, the performers on stage have the presence of mind to notice what's going on, stop the concert, and do something about it. It wouldn't be a huge stretch to say that they probably saved lives by taking quick action. These are some of the musicians who stopped their shows for the safety of their fans.
