Married teacher accused of hosting student orgy in ‘Scream’ masks faces new charges, risks life in prison

A married teacher from Indiana, Brittany Fortinberry, 31, is in serious legal trouble after being accused of orchestrating sexual encounters with teenagers as young as 13, all while they donned “Scream” masks. Authorities have revealed that she is now facing additional charges that could result in her spending the rest of her life in prison.

According to reports, Fortinberry has been accused by yet another boy, bringing the total number of juvenile accusers to six. This alarming development was confirmed by officials to TMZ on Friday. Prosecutors are gearing up to file an additional 24 felony charges against her, which would increase her total to 29 charges at an upcoming court hearing scheduled for April 3.

Among the charges Fortinberry faces are five counts of level-one child molestation, along with charges of sexual misconduct with a minor, dissemination of matter harmful to minors, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Morgan County Prosecutor Steven Sonnega stated that if Fortinberry is convicted on the child molestation charges alone, she could be looking at a prison sentence of 20 to 40 years for each count.

In the event that the judge decides to impose consecutive sentences, it is likely that Fortinberry would spend the remainder of her life behind bars. Additionally, the 24 other counts she faces involve various offenses, each carrying maximum sentences ranging from two to 12 years in prison, according to the prosecutor.

Fortinberry reportedly met her accusers at two different schools in Morgan County in 2024. One of the boys recounted to police that she allegedly spent $600 on him and a group of boys, subsequently engaging in sexual activities with them while they wore horror movie masks.

Law enforcement has also alleged that Fortinberry would invite the teens to her home, provide them with drugs, and engage in sexual acts with them after putting her own children to bed. Disturbingly, she is accused of sexually assaulting one teenager she had hired to babysit her kids, according to prosecutors.

Charging documents reveal that Fortinberry would threaten to take her own life if her victims disclosed the abuse. She allegedly offered the boys between $100 and $800 for explicit photos and frequently sent them nude images of herself. In instances where the boys expressed reluctance to engage in sexual activities, she reportedly would force them, saying, “Just let it happen,” as recounted by one accuser to the police.

Last month, Fortinberry was already facing accusations of sexual abuse against several students, but she attempted to deflect responsibility by attributing her actions to a significant weight loss of 150 pounds.
