Jenn Tran Opens Up About Life as a Physician Assistant After Reality TV Fame

Jenn Tran, the 27-year-old star known for her appearances on The Bachelorette and Dancing with the Stars, is diving back into her studies to become a physician assistant. In a recent chat, she shared insights about her journey and how her reality TV fame plays into her new role.

“A lot of my patients haven’t seen The Bachelor or Bachelorette or Dancing with the Stars,” Tran revealed during the Cape Radiance Gala red carpet event in Los Angeles on March 24. It’s been a year since she took a break from her studies to film The Bachelorette in March 2024, and now she’s back in Miami, ready to tackle her medical training.

“I actually just went back to P.A. school a couple of weeks ago,” she said, expressing her excitement about returning to the hospital setting. “I saw my first few patients the other day, and it’s been incredible.” Tran’s enthusiasm for her new path is palpable, as she embraces the challenges and rewards of her medical education.

Interestingly, Tran noted that she doesn’t often get recognized by her patients. “It’s kind of weird, surprisingly, no,” she admitted. “I was actually really nervous about that, thinking about how it might affect the provider-patient relationship. But the hospitals I’ve been working at have patients who aren’t familiar with my reality TV background.”

She emphasized the importance of creating a “safe space” for her patients, allowing them to focus on their health without the distractions of her past fame. This perspective highlights her commitment to her new role and the well-being of those she serves.

Tran confirmed that her reality TV career is now “taking a back seat” to her education. “No more hiatuses from P.A. school, I promised my mom. But after P.A. school, we’ll see,” she teased, hinting at potential future endeavors. She attended the gala alongside her former Dancing with the Stars partner, Sasha Farber, further showcasing her connections to her past while focusing on her future.
