According to court documents obtained by KRON, five inmates at a Santa Clara County jail allegedly attacked Shannon O'Connor, a mom accused of hosting secret parties where she watched her teen sons’ friends having sex. The inmates, identified as Erika Amaya, Danielle Chavez, Sophia Vigil, Anita Quiroz, and Marjaana Gardea, allegedly kicked and beat O'Connor with their bare hands inside a dorm room on Oct. 24, as reported by Los Gatos Sheriff’s Deputy Frank Thrall. O'Connor has been in custody at Elmwood Correctional Facility after being arrested for organizing alcohol-fueled teen sex parties over an eight-month period in 2020 and 2021, without her husband's knowledge.

Prosecutors alleged that the “Party Mom” had met the 14- and 15-year-old teens, who were allegedly sexually assaulted by the boys, through social media and her sons, who go to Los Gatos High School. According to the girls, O’Connor had watched as they were assaulted, and they would often become sick and fall unconscious.

According to prosecutors, at one of the parties, O'Connor reportedly gave a condom to a boy and urged him to enter a room where an inebriated 14-year-old girl was lying on the bed. The girl became scared, ran away, and locked herself in the bathroom.

While awaiting trial, O'Connor was assaulted by the group of five inmates for around 16 seconds before being separated by deputies. She did not retaliate during the attack and required medical attention for her injuries.
