Defending their love amidst a 37-year age gap, a couple from Georgia has gained viral fame. Cheryl, aged 62, and Quran McCain, aged 25, initially crossed paths at a local Dairy Queen in Rome, Georgia in 2012. However, they lost touch before reuniting in November 2020 when Quran stumbled upon Cheryl working as a cashier at a convenience store. Since then, the couple has been sharing their love story and life together on TikTok, garnering millions of followers. Despite facing online trolling, they have garnered a significant amount of support, leading to their recent marriage in 2021, which was live-streamed to over 20,000 viewers. The couple has even created an OnlyFans account for their more provocative videos.

But despite years of online fame, the couple constantly feel the need to defend their relationship.

“We may get hate for being in love, but I wouldn’t trade this love we have for anything on this planet. I found my happy place and it’s you,” Cheryl captioned a recent TikTok video.

The short clip, which gathered 1 million views in a day, shows the couple laughing and cuddling in front of a backdrop covered in red and pink hearts with a song titled “I Don’t Care” playing.

Quran also post videos acknowledging their detractors and questions that the couple get about their relationship. He recently shared a video of the couple smiling together.

The two continue to defend and explain their relationship online as they showcase how happy they are.

The Quranic message appearing in the video asks, “Why do you exert so much effort for someone 37 years your senior?” In response, the man quotes a line from Logic’s “1-800-273-8255,” a song named after the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline, expressing his desire to feel alive and not contemplate death. The video, titled “She completes me,” featuring the couple, went viral, garnering 1.4 million views and a mix of positive and negative feedback. The married couple's announcement of their desire to have a child together resulted in a new round of criticism. Although Cheryl already has seven children in their thirties and forties, who have given her 17 grandchildren, she wishes to have an eighth child with her new partner. Despite attempting to conceive naturally, the couple has decided to explore surrogacy or adoption as Cheryl's age is a limiting factor.

The pair have shared their desire to have a child together and have began looking into adoption or surrogacy options due to Cheryl’s age.
