All it took was one tweet. Last September, Alec Benjamin asked #SongAssociation alum Alessia Cara if she'd be open to a collaboration. One feature later, Benjamin's breakout hit, "Let Me Down Slowly" reached platinum status, and catapulted him — and his guitar — to headline status. He's now performing in the same venues he used to sing outside of, and joining the likes of John Mayer, centerstage.
