When Anish Kapoor announced his exclusive rights to the “blackest black” pigment, Stuart Semple knew he had to fight for artist inclusion. Semple created the “pinkest pink” and licensed it for anyone but Kapoor. Soon after, he started a Kickstarter to create his own blackest black. Blackest Black 3.0 is currently the darkest pigment in existence with a visible light absorption rate of 98%. That sure is dark.
