13 Year Old Teaches Kids With Cancer How To Fish
Jan 29 2020
Jake Klopfenstein from Tampa, Florida wanted to honor his late friend Ryan, who passed away from childhood cancer when he was 13 years old — so Klopfenstein started the non-profit Angling For Relief. Through the organization, the aspiring marine biologist and 13-year-old takes pediatric cancer patients and survivors outdoors to fish, providing kids and their families a necessary escape from critical care units and chemo treatments. Despite circumstances, there’s always another fish to look forward to and “something to hope for.”
