Halima Aden On Learning To Survive In a Refugee Camp & Her Relationship With Her Hijab | GLAMOUR UK
Feb 11 2020
Model and activist, Halima Aden, was the first model to wear a hijab in the Miss USA beauty pageant and the first model to wear a burkini in Sports Illustrated. But growing up in the largest refugee camp in Kenya shaped Halima Aden the most. Here in the latest episode of GLAMOUR UNFILTERED - our bi-weekly chat show hosted by @JoshSmithHosts - the twenty-two-year-old opens up about survival, poverty and her relationship with her hijab. Plus, the face of #TOGETHERBAND and BOTTLETOP reveals her thoughts on being an activist and how we should overcome our differences. Are you inspired by Halima's inspiring story?
