After several days of speculation, Simone Biles has revealed that there's a new man in her life. Biles went Instagram official with her boyfriend, Jonathan Owens, on August 2nd, 2020. Biles posted two photos of herself and her beau on the social media platform with the caption "It's just us."

As The Shade Room noted on Instagram on July 23rd, Biles had previously wished Owens a happy birthday and posted a picture of him giving her a piggyback ride on her Insta Story. The post led to rumors that they were romantically linked.

Biles' announcement came just a few weeks after she confirmed that she had ended her long term relationship with fellow gymnast Stacey Ervin Jr. in early March. According to People magazine, the couple had been together since 2017, and were quite serious about each other, with Biles once calling him the "man of her dreams." While she didn't reveal what led to the split, it seems like things have worked out well for the gymnast. She told Vogue in July,

"It's hard being young and having that long of a relationship and then ending it. But it was for the best."

It looks like things did indeed work out for the best because Biles seems quite happy to be with her new man. Like Biles, Owens is also quite the talented athlete - the 25-year-old is a safety for the Houston Texans. According to his profile on the National Football League website, he attended Missouri Western State University. The pro athlete stands just an inch under six feet and weighs 210 pounds.

Aside from being athletes, Biles and Owens have a lot in common, according to Elle magazine. They're both based in Texas, and Biles is training for the Olympics - which were pushed to 2021 — at the World Champions Center in Spring, Texas. Owens is based nearby in Houston, which is just 26 minutes away, so it's likely that the two are able to see each other frequently.

Both athletes are also dog lovers. Biles has two French bulldogs who have their own Instagram account, "The Biles Frenchies," where Biles regularly posts adorable photos of the pups. Owens has an English bulldog, who also has his own Instagram account, "Zeus The Bulldog."

Biles and Owens are both close to their families as well. In a Mother's Day tribute to his mom on Instagram, Owens wrote,

"You have been my biggest fan and supporter through it all. I'm so thankful for everything you've taught me."

He also revealed on Instagram that he has a tight bond with his sister, whom he credits with inspiring his football career. He wrote,

"Who knows where I'd be if you didn't force me to start playing football."

Biles has often spoken of her love for her parents. She was adopted by her biological grandfather and his second wife after her birth mother was unable to take care of her.

When she was competing on Dancing With The Stars in 2017, she said,

"My parents saved me. They've set huge examples of how to treat other people, and they've been there to support me since day one. There's nothing I could say to them to thank them enough."

Biles didn't reveal how long she and Owens have been seeing each other or when they met, but they've been connected in the virtual sense since at least November 2019. Elle noted that Biles first liked one of his Instagram photos on November 27th. The snap shows Owens on the football field, and the caption reads:

"'He may not come when you want him, but he'll always be there on time. 'Never early, never late.' Always keep faith and trust the plan."

Owens doesn't post very frequently on Instagram. The next photo Biles liked on the social media platform was posted on March 9th, which would have been around the time that she and her ex-boyfriend called it quits. The pic shows a shirtless Owens enjoying a sunny day standing on a balcony, alongside the caption:
