Some may not know that Donald Trump was actually married three times! His first wife, Ivanka Trump, is the mother of first daughter, Ivanka Trump.

Ivana Trump has been quite outspoken over the years about her ex-husband’s choices in business and in politics. She’s also been somewhat critical of the First Lady, Melania Trump.

Ivana has shared that she sees herself as the “First Lady”, since she was President Trump’s first wife. Her criticisms of the White House family and the current First Lady have of course been controversial statements.

Had things happened differently, Ivana may very well have been the First Lady of the United States. The role, however, is with Melania. Melania may be less hands-on than some of her predecessors and therefore some of the duties and responsibilities have actually fallen to Ivana’s daughter, Ivanka.

Ivanka Trump grew up in the public eye and therefore taking on a larger role in her father’s political campaign and presidency seems natural. The businesswoman has taken on the responsibility of advocating for women’s issues within her father’s platform.

Has this division of responsibilities between the women caused tension? Between Ivana, Melania, and Ivanka, there is speculated to be drama behind the scenes. With Ivanka in such a powerful role and Melania focusing more on her family, who is the true First Lady?
