It turns out acting really runs in the extended family. Her dad, Eric Roberts, is an actor, and Emma's grandmother, Betty Lou, was an acting teacher in Georgia, according to Los Angeles Magazine. But Emma claims this hasn't directly influenced her skills. When Interview Magazine asked what she'd learned from her famous relatives, she said,

"I can't say I've really learned from them directly but obviously I love their movies."
