Inside Miley Cyrus And Kim Kardashian's Relationship
Nov 24 2020
No one can cause a stir quite like Kim Kardashian.

She's been at the center of too many photoshopping scandals to mention, and what about all those accusations of cultural appropriation? Remember when she tried naming her shapewear brand "Kimono"? After widespread criticism and a public letter from no less than the mayor of Kyoto, she eventually changed the brand name to SKIMS SOLUTIONS, as one does.

So much drama! No wonder she's fond of saying, "Can I live?" Meanwhile, plenty of people seem to have issues with her, including several fellow celebs. Case in point: Reportedly, a certain Miley Cyrus has a problem with Kim Kardashian. The question is: WHY?!

To be honest, it sounds like a rather complicated situation, but certainly quite juicy. You see, Cyrus reportedly shaded Kardashian on social media in a well-publicized Instagram post.

As fans may recall, Kardashian posted a very revealing selfie back in March 2016. The saucy snap attracted the attention of several celebrities, including Chloe Grace Moretz

and Bette Midler, both of whom criticized the star. Kardashian fired back at both women, tweeting to Midler,

"I really didn't want to bring up how you sent me a gift awhile back trying to be a fake friend then come at me."

Along those same lines, Kardashian told Moretz:

"Let's all welcome [Chloe] to twitter, since no one knows who she is."

And then Miley Cyrus entered the fray: She took to Instagram on International Women's Day, seemingly calling out all the female celebs who were embroiling themselves in the drama. The now-deleted post read in part:

"Dear women, you ALL are acting tacky [...]! Why don't we overly [...] fortunate women come together and try to create and bring jobs to other women in desperate need of them so they can support not only THEMSELVES but their families. [...] Can we all put the c---iness aside for one f---ing day and love [and] celebrate one another! [...] Much love to all my women!!!!"

Cyrus herself talked about Kardashian's body in August 2015 while hosting the VMAs. The fact that Kardashian was in the audience and pregnant inspired Cyrus to say,

"Have you guys seen those nipples? I'm so jealous of the baby in there."

As Cosmopolitan reports, Cyrus then proceeded to make sucking sounds. Very provocative stuff.

A penchant for drama aside, Miley Cyrus and Kim Kardashian do seem to have some interesting things in common. As US Weekly reported in 2015,

"Miley Cyrus recently moved to a seven-bedroom house on the same street as Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s Hidden Hills, [California], abode."

Evidently, they weren't neighbors for long: As Variety reports, the "Wrecking Ball" singer moved out of the neighborhood in 2018.

Meanwhile, in 2018, Elite Daily suggested the two entertainers seemed to share the same sense of style, writing that,

"Miley Cyrus' Photos On Instagram Are Just Like Kim Kardashian's & We're Here For It"

The publication was transfixed by a series of Instagram images posted by Cyrus, which they felt had a very similar vibe to some Twitter images shared by Kardashian. Elite Daily also noted that

"[Since] they came right on the heels of Kim K's own massive [...] Instagram post fest, fans over on Twitter couldn't help but lump the two stars together."

For example, one fan wrote on Twitter:

"Kim k and Miley really out for blood lately"

Another observer tweeted that

"Miley Cyrus's photos she posted are [800 times] better than [Kim's…] bye."

Here's another interesting factoid: In 2019, Miley Cyrus started dating Kaitlynn Carter, who was once married to Brody Jenner, star of The Hills. FYI, Brody is the son of Caitlyn Jenner, Kim Kardashian's former step-parent. In 2018, Carter and Brody got married in Indonesia, but when the couple split in August 2019, TMZ reported that their nuptials weren't actually legally binding.

When Cyrus broke up with her ex-husband Liam Hemsworth, she and Carter embarked on a passionate summer romance in 2019. They were later seen together at the 2019 MTV VMAs, holding hands and having a blast at the after-party. However, by September 2019, the duo split up, according to People.

Although Carter isn't a Kardashian, she's obviously close to the clan. Interesting connection, no?
