BioBuu, The Maggot Factory Eating Food Waste
Jan 13 2021
Kigen Compton runs BioBuu, a maggot factory in Tanzania that reduces methane emissions by recycling food waste -- with the help of his little friends. 120 million tons of waste are processed a week, to be exact, and are used to make fertilizer and high-protein animal feed. Maggots might give some people the creepy crawlies, but for Compton they provide a sense of peace.
