Ben Platt On ‘Dear Evan Hansen’ Film: ‘It’s A Lot Of Pressure’

Ben Platt performed on Tuesday night’s season finale of “The Voice” but ahead of the singer hitting the stage, he spoke to Access Hollywood about the big night. Ben, who is starring in the upcoming highly anticipated flick, “Dear Evan Hansen” reacted to the trailer getting released, “Thrilled, it’s been a longtime coming, I’ve spent many many years working on the show and creating the role and the fact that it’s getting this big screen treatment is going to be immortalized for many many young people to see for years to come, it’s a very special way to close that door and that chapter.” He continued, “It’s a dream come true for sure, it’s a lot of pressure, obviously because the stage role brought a lot of beautiful things and opened a lot of doors for me and so I want to deliver on that promise and show up.”
