Shakira is set to stand trial for tax fraud. On Tuesday, a Spanish judge ordered the tax evasion case against the pop singer to trial, according to AP. The publication reports that attorneys for the prosecution are seeking a hefty fine and an eight-year prison sentence if she is found guilty. Shakira has continued to deny any wrongdoing, allegedly saying she has already paid what she owed, with interest, per AP. Access Hollywood reached out for comment but has yet to hear back.
