Shakira Shares Cryptic Video Of Trampled Heart After Gerard Piqué Split

Shakira teased her latest single “Monotonía” over the weekend with a series of cryptic Instagram posts that could be alluding to her split from Gerard Piqué. The singer started her posts by sharing the words “it wasn’t your fault,” followed by another reading “it also wasn’t mine,” and another post saying, “it was monotony’s fault.” Later the Colombian singer shared a video of a human heart being crushed by a foot captioning the post “I never said anything, but it hurt. I knew that this would happen.” Her final post revealed the title of her new single “Monotonía” with a sword stabbing into a heart. Shakira’s posts come four months after she announced she was separating from soccer player Gerard Piqué after dating for more than a decade.
