Ferrari Classiche Connection - Classic Ferrari F40 meets the new SF90 Stradale
Jan 13 2023
One of the highlights of 2022 was Ferrari’s 75th anniversary. To mark the occasion, Petrolicious partnered with Ferrari North America to profile six significant cars from its history and their modern analogues. You can see these short Classiche Connection films on Ferrari North America’s Instagram profile @ferrariusa.
With so many great stories we also created director's cut versions of a couple of the films.
The first of these films features the perfectly preserved F40 belonging to long-time Ferrari owner and collector, Jerry Levy. The film is presented by road testing authority, Jethro Bovingdon, who compares and contrasts the F40 with Ferrari’s latest fastest car, the dramatic SF90 hybrid hypercar.
Looking for the genetic thread from the analogue F40 to the super-sophisticated SF90, Jethro finds two completely different cars which, despite the mechanical differences, demonstrate Ferrari’s singular pursuit of pushing its cars to the edge of performance levels of the day.
