Norse mythology and religions are electrifying the far-right. With a startling pattern of global violence being linked to the right’s obsession with all things viking.
Many are now turning their backs on the far-right’s traditional home - Christian nationalism. Instead, they are seeking out “the religion of their ancestors”- Norse and German neo–paganism. Which they believe has not been diluted by Christianity’s Jewish and Middle Eastern roots.
This turn towards racist neo-paganism is a complete bastardisation of history and religion. But one that continues to capture the hearts and minds of white supremacists the world over. Now, with racist neo-pagan groups now pumping out content online, seemingly providing an answer to our “degenerate world”, we should all be worried…
