Dancing With Fire in Sri Lanka

In Sri Lanka, celebrations get fiery hot. Troupes of dancers spin blazing rings of fire, lighting up parades and festivals across the country. For Sumedha Somaweera, it’s the thrill and joy of the art that keeps him going. He’s been fire dancing for seven years, performing with the group Senkadagala Gini Bola. With every show, dancers risk it all. Dangerous as it seems, Sumedha and his crew are properly trained and fully committed to their art.
