Jun 21 2025

Jennifer Aniston is eyeing a new stage in her illustrious career: Broadway. In a recent conversation, the 56-year-old actress expressed her desire to perform in a play, a goal she has yet to achieve despite nearly four decades in the entertainment industry.

"I definitely want to do a Broadway play," Aniston stated, highlighting the challenge of finding the right material and timing. "That's on my bucket list," she added, emphasizing her commitment to this aspiration.

Born into a family steeped in show business, Aniston's journey began early. Her parents, Nancy Dow and John Aniston, both had careers in acting, which undoubtedly influenced her path. After honing her craft at a performing arts high school in New York City, she made her mark with Off-Broadway productions before her breakout role in the 1993 film Leprechaun.

Her portrayal of Rachel Green on Friends from 1994 to 2004 solidified her status as a household name. The series, beloved by fans, showcased her talent alongside Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry, and David Schwimmer.

Throughout Friends' run, Aniston expanded her filmography with notable performances in My Affection (1998), Office Space (1999), The Good Girl (2002), and Bruce Almighty (2003). Post-Friends, she continued to star in successful films such as Marley & Me (2008), He’s Just Not That into You (2009), Just Go with It (2011), We’re the Millers (2013), Cake (2014), Dumplin’ (2018), and Murder Mystery (2019) along with its sequel released in 2023.

Currently, Aniston stars in Apple TV+'s The Morning Show alongside Reese Witherspoon and others, with the fourth season set to premiere later this year. She also serves as a producer for the series.

Reflecting on her past roles, Aniston revealed a particular interest in revisiting her character from Horrible Bosses. "Oh my God, this literally came up the other day," she remarked about the 2011 comedy and its sequel. "Jason Bateman and I were talking about that, and Charlie Day has been talking about it a lot too." The trio believes that returning to these characters could be a fun endeavor.

"The characters are hilarious, and we need comedy," she asserted. "I personally think comedy is a necessity. That’s one that we would have a really fun time, I think, going back to, seeing where those crazy cats are today."

The anticipation builds as The Morning Show's fourth season is set to begin streaming on Apple TV+ on September 17.
