Parents Accused of Planning Sexual Abuse of Infant Prior to Her Birth
Two parents have been accused of conspiring to sexually abuse their two-month-old daughter even before she was born. Skyler Klassen, 22, and Madison Bishop, 21, were arrested in Madison, Wisconsin, after authorities reportedly found child sex abuse material on Klassen's phone.
The criminal complaint reveals that at the time of his arrest, Klassen was already wanted in connection with child sex abuse material in Nevada. Allegations suggest that he confessed to sexually assaulting Bishop's newborn daughter, with the incident believed to have taken place on April 7.
According to police reports, officers discovered explicit images of the infant's genitals and a video depicting the child being digitally abused on Klassen's device. The complaint further alleges that investigators uncovered disturbing text messages exchanged between Klassen and Bishop prior to the baby's birth, indicating that they had already been plotting to harm her.
Prosecutors assert that the couple continued to discuss their intentions regarding the infant and frequently shared child sex abuse material. One particularly alarming message from Bishop to Klassen reportedly stated, “I wanna be a good tradwife nd teach our girls how to be good toys.”
Other messages attributed to Bishop include, “I think a lot more people are into this than admit it tbh,,,if it was legal then a lot more people would I think,” and “I’m so excited to raise a lil porn star,” as detailed in the complaint.
Klassen was arrested in Nevada and extradited to Wisconsin on April 9, while Bishop was taken into custody on April 15. The Madison Police Department's Special Victims Unit (SVU) received a tip-off regarding a male in possession of child pornography, which led to the investigation and subsequent arrests.
In their incident report, the police stated, "Detectives with the Madison Police Department's Special Victims Unit (SVU) received a tip that a male was currently in possession of child pornography. Madison Police were able to contact the male and take him into custody." The report further noted that additional evidence was recovered, along with information related to the sexual assault of a child.
Klassen now faces multiple serious charges, including first-degree sexual assault of a child, sexual exploitation of a child, and possession of child pornography. Meanwhile, Bishop is charged with failing to act on and conspiracy to commit first-degree child sexual assault.
Both individuals are currently being held at the Dane County Jail in Madison. Bishop is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on April 30, while Klassen has chosen to waive his preliminary hearing.
