Simone Biles Reveals What She Didn't Know About Her Fiancé

Simone Biles is one of the greatest, if not the greatest, gymnast the world has seen. And this month she makes her biggest leap yet…into marriage with her boyfriend of two years, Jonathan Owens. On February 15th, 2022, Biles and Owens announced their engagement on instagram to millions of adoring fans. Owens is an accomplished athlete in his own right, playing as safety for the Houston Texans. The two met over a dating app and despite Owens not knowing who Biles was, or in this case because he didn’t know who she was, the two hit it off immediately and became official over instagram. Owens comments that the pandemic really helped the two solidify their relationship. With gymnastics on hold due to the coronavirus,, the two were able to get to know each other with more time, travel together, and just have fun. This is one case where the pandemic’s been a real benefit. The two then went on to spend the holidays together and enjoy more adventures. After a year of dating, Owens finally watched Bile compete and was blown away. He has always shown support for the star gymnast and stood firmly by her side when she withdrew from the 2021 olympics for the sake of mental health. Biles has also shown up for her boyfriend, posing for cute photos with him on the practice field where she’s turned up to cheer him on. The two finally put a ring on it when Owens got down on one knee. The future seems bright for the couple, and if Biles’ response in other interviews is any indication, there might even be kids on the horizon one day.
