Snapchat Photo Guides Fort Worth Police to Murder Scene: "I Was Performing Witchcraft to Kill My Mom"
A Snapchat photo directed Fort Worth police to a gruesome crime scene last Friday. Upon arrival, officers encountered a blood-soaked suspect, 23-year-old Alexander Taylor Valdez, who greeted them with the bizarre claim that he was performing "an exorcism." This unsettling encounter unfolded as he casually sat on the front porch, according to an arrest warrant.
Valdez is now facing serious charges for the murder of his mother, 58-year-old Teresita Sayson, which allegedly took place in the early hours of April 18. The arrest warrant, obtained by CBS News Texas, details the horrific nature of the crime, stating that Valdez struck his mother multiple times with a blunt object. Investigators later discovered a broken jewelry box in the room where Sayson was found, containing blood and hair that matched her DNA.
When police found Valdez, he was covered in what appeared to be blood on his face, neck, chest, torso, hands, and feet. In a chilling confession, he told officers, "I was doing witchcraft to kill my mom." When asked if anyone else was in the house, he bluntly replied, "There is a dead body in there, it's my mom."

During a thorough search of the residence located at 9920 Farmers Branch Street, officers discovered Sayson in the master bedroom, her body covered in blood and showing signs of trauma to her face and upper body. Disturbingly, a deceased dog was also found in the same room, adding to the horror of the scene.
The police were alerted to the situation shortly after 1:30 a.m. on April 18, following a 911 call from an anonymous source. The caller reported receiving a concerning Snapchat photo in a group chat, depicting a woman covered in what appeared to be blood.
Once at the police homicide office, Valdez chose to remain silent, declining to answer any questions and requesting an attorney. His bond has been set at a staggering $750,000, as per Tarrant County Jail records.
