Teacher Accused of Inappropriate Acts with Students in 'Scream' Mask Forced to Sell Home Where Alleged Incidents Occurred
The Indiana residence of Brittany Fortinberry, a teacher embroiled in serious allegations involving minors, has been placed on the market. This decision follows her husband Nicholas's divorce filing, as reported by various sources.
Documents reveal that Nicholas, 31, initiated divorce proceedings after the couple faced financial difficulties linked to the ongoing investigation into Fortinberry's alleged actions. The couple's home in Martinsdale, where police claim some of the incidents occurred, is now up for sale.
According to court filings, the house contained a stripper pole and sex toys, further complicating the already troubling situation. Nicholas filed for divorce in February, coinciding with the onset of police inquiries into his wife's conduct.

Previously, the couple relied on monthly benefits from the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs to manage their expenses. However, these funds have reportedly ceased, leading to an inability to cover mortgage payments, as indicated in the divorce documents.
A judge has approved Nicholas's request to list their home, although no asking price has been disclosed. Meanwhile, Fortinberry faces an alarming 41 felony charges related to alleged sexual crimes involving at least six students aged as young as 13.

Investigators allege that Fortinberry provided alcohol and magic mushrooms to her victims before engaging in sexual acts with them. Disturbingly, some incidents reportedly involved the minors wearing masks from the "Scream" film series.

In one instance, police allege that Fortinberry's children were present in the home while these acts occurred. She has pleaded not guilty to all charges and remains incarcerated at the Morgan County Jail, with a pretrial conference scheduled for August.
Prosecutors have stated that one of her alleged victims was a teenager she had employed as a babysitter. Reports indicate that Fortinberry offered monetary compensation ranging from $100 to $800 for explicit photographs and frequently sent nude images of herself.

Additionally, it is claimed that she threatened self-harm if her victims disclosed any details about the abuse. The charges against her include incest, multiple counts of child molestation, conducting harmful performances for minors, and contributing to juvenile delinquency.
