Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, died in April 2021, when COVID restrictions were such that his funeral was sparsely attended, by design. On March 29, 2022, the royal family attended a "Service of Thanksgiving" at Westminster Abbey that in many ways felt like the proper funeral the family wanted. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince William and Kate Middleton, were in attendance, along with Prince George and Prince Charlotte. The two young royals are growing up in the spotlight, but they still need some reassurance from their parents now and then. These are the sweet words Kate said to Charlotte at Philip's memorial.
