Tom Brady may have faced some tough crowds at MetLife Stadium, but he's flipping the script with the opening of his new sports card shop just a stone's throw away in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Welcome to CardVault by Tom Brady, a fresh spot in the American Dream mall dedicated to the art of collecting and connecting fans through sports memorabilia.
Chris Costa, the co-founder of CardVault, highlights that Brady is joining a star-studded lineup of athletes who are diving back into the card-collecting scene. "It's not just Tom; we have legends like Derek Jeter, Mike Trout, LeBron James, and even rising stars like Victor Wembanyama getting in on the action," Costa shared. "Cards are officially cool again!"
While Brady boasts seven Super Bowl rings, the real trophies here are the collectible cards displayed behind glass. "You can walk into our store and snag a Pokémon card for just a buck or dive into our premium section to find a jaw-dropping $200,000 Mickey Mantle rookie card," Costa explained.
And yes, there’s a vault! Although we couldn’t peek inside, it’s rumored to house legends like Mantle, Michael Jordan, and, of course, Brady himself. "We've had icons like Joe Montana and Terry Bradshaw, but now we have Tom Brady—our generation's GOAT," said David Karpinski, a die-hard New York Giants fan. "No matter your team, you have to respect his presence here."
In a city known for its rivalries, Brady's success seems to bridge the gap. "Not from Giants fans! We’ve beaten him twice, and he knows it," joked another fan. Yet, even the fiercest rivalries seem to fade when it comes to the joy of collecting.
This new store marks the fourth CardVault location, and it’s clear that Brady is not just a football legend but also a game-changer in the world of sports collectibles.
