YouTuber Claims Self-Defense in Arrest for Fatally Shooting Rival and Wife During Livestream
YouTuber Manuel Ruiz, known as Sin City Manny, was arrested following a shooting incident that left two individuals dead during a live stream in Las Vegas. The victims, Rodney ‘Finny’ Finley and his wife, Tanisha Finley, were targeted while filming outside the Bellagio Hotel on June 8.
As the couple broadcasted their video, chaos erupted when a man wearing a white hat and sunglasses opened fire. Eyewitness accounts describe the moment vividly; one woman’s scream of disbelief echoed as gunfire erupted, leading to the abrupt end of the stream when a police officer seized the camera.
Undersheriff Andrew Walsh provided details at a press conference, stating that officers responded swiftly to the sound of gunfire. Upon arrival, they discovered both victims suffering from severe gunshot wounds. “This appears to be an isolated incident,” Walsh noted, emphasizing that the shooter and victims had a history of conflict on social media.
The rivalry between Finny and Ruiz reportedly intensified over competition in content creation, with disputes escalating to copyright strikes. Just before the shooting, Ruiz allegedly posted a video driving through Las Vegas in search of a “friend” and his “baby.”

Tragically, the coroner later confirmed that Rodney Finley succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds, while Tanisha Finley died from two shots to the head. Hours after the incident, Ruiz voluntarily turned himself in at a police station.
In custody, he faces two counts of Open Murder with a Deadly Weapon. During questioning, Ruiz claimed self-defense, alleging that Tanisha danced provocatively in front of him while Rodney approached with a threatening demeanor. “I didn’t know they were live streaming,” he reportedly stated, denying any prior threats against them.
