Fans are calling Justin’s new hair “Buzztin” which is the same name they gave the singer in 2016 after he first debuted dreadlocks. Which yes, he also received a ton of backlash and claims of cultural appropriation for. As locs are culturally significant to black people who face serious discrimination for wearing them. Historically we’ve seen black people get banned from walking at graduation or having a hard time getting jobs for having their hair in dreadlocks. While Justin has gotten rid of his controversial dreadlocks, for the second time since being in the public eye. He still has not apologized or even addressed the criticism around this hair choice. Even after justin has mentioned how black culture has made a huge impact on his life, he is still silent when it comes to cultural appropriation as he once posted on Instagram, “I have benefitted off of black culture. My style, how I sing, dance, perform and my fashion has all been influenced by black culture." What do you guys think?
