British photojournalist Sean Smith talks to us about his work on the front line covering conflicts in the Middle East. He first arrived in Iraq in 2003, when Saddam Hussein was still in power, and was present during the bombing of Baghdad. He talks us through a haunting image he took – depicting suspected insurgents being ominously taken for questioning by US marines, blindfolded and walking in single file – during Operation Steel Curtain.
