When you hear Montel Williams' name, you may think about The Montel Williams Show, which ran for an impressive 18 seasons between 1991 and 2008. But how much do you know about what he's been up to lately? Read on to delve into Montel Williams' life these days.
Montel Williams has been married three times and has four children. He shares two daughters, with Rochele See, who he was married to from 1982 to 1989. He shares his two other children, a son and a daughter, with Grace Morley who was his spouse from 1992 until 2000. In 2007, he married Tara Fowler, who formerly worked as a flight attendant.
Sadly, in 2010, two of Williams' children, Montel Jr. and Wyntergrace, told the Daily News that although he was paying thousands of dollars a month in child support, things weren't great between them. The star's daughter admitted -
"My dad is now like a stranger. Everyone knows him as a great guy, but he's not making the best choices as a parent."
His son added -
"I eat every night. I'm comfortable, but I can't say I have him as a father. There's all this fighting over things that shouldn't be a fight, like paying for my PSAT."
Montel Jr., who is now a professional MMA fighter and marijuana advocate, said his dad was not a part of his life then, and kept the reason why simple, saying -
"It's his choice."
Their dad also released a statement regarding their relationship, saying -
"I love my children very much. I do not believe parenting is best done in a public forum and I will not comment on ongoing legal action involving my minor children."
In a 2019 interview with The Athletic, Montel Jr. revealed that their relationships were being mended.
