Luckily, the “Someone Like You” singer was able to let him hear her songs just before he passed away. The experience with her dad, as well as the ending of her marriage were the inspiration behind her album “Thirty” - her first and long-awaited full-length album released in six years.

One of the reasons that Adele’s father wasn’t her biggest fan in her early career days was that he just wasn’t around! In her interview with Oprah, Adele spoke about the abandonment she felt when her father left her and her mother when she was three years old.

Adele pours everything she has into her music and her strained relationship with her dad was part of the fuel that fed the tear-jerking ballads we know and love. The singer is moving forward and making magic. We can’t wait to see what this powerful star does next.
