This Lambo-Doored V8 Range Rover Started A Revolution | Top Gear
Feb 21 2023
In 2004 Land Rover did something it’d never done in its 56-year history: a concept car. It was called the Range Rover Stormer – a Lambo-doored Range Rover coupe with the supercharged 4.2-litre V8 usually found in Jaguar’s XJR and XKR, a wild interior, 22-inch wheels and technology such as ‘terrain response’. Predictably, it blew people’s minds. But also started a revolution of sporty SUVs. But how’s it stood up over the last 20 years? And what did it create? We sent Top Gear Magazine’s Jason Barlow to JLR’s Classic bunker to speak to Head of Design Andy Wheel to find out.
