Jade Chipps, a 31-year-old woman, has an unusual love story. She fell in love with her husband, Chris, through a prison pen-pal website and has never met him outside of prison. Jade got the idea to write to an inmate after watching an interview with a woman who had a similar experience. She found Chris on a website for inmates near her home and they started communicating. They now talk up to three times a day and before the pandemic, Jade would visit Chris once a month. Despite her own experience, Jade advises others against pursuing relationships with inmates due to the stress involved. The couple has plans for the future - once Chris is released, they intend to live in the house he bought for Jade and start a family.
